GENIUS.

SproutCore™ is the amazing AJAX platform, used by Apple™ to develop their new mobileME portal.
Anxious to try it out on my Macbook, I hit a snag when I used the following command to install SC:
sudo gem install sproutcore
I got this output:
ERROR: http://gems.rubyforge.org/ does not appear to be a repository
ERROR: could not find gem sproutcore locally [...]

It’s been a while since I’ve used Parallels, since I’ve got a Desktop Windows PC, so I uninstalled Parallels to free up some disc space and sort out some potential netword Hardware issues.
Not only did I free up some precious HDD on my Macbook Pro, by my memory consumption is lower, how cool is that?

Is Spotlight™ taking up too much of the CPU spotlight?
No problem. Here is a few quick draw command line arguments to ease the consumption of precious CPU juice. By the way, this is only if you need to remove unnecessary indexing, like network mounts or external drives.
Open up a Terminal and disable Spotlight™ indexing:
$ sudo mdutil -i [...]
